Race Report - Hagley Stag Run
Unfortunately, I’m writing this race report 4 YEARS after the race! (sorry) my memory may be a little fuzzy ;)
THE WIN!
Previously, I ran and won this race at Hagley Hall (clicky)
But, in that race, a group of us were wrongly directed on a section of the route, so technically a DNF. I was determined to do run the proper course and win.
Once again, I cycled to the race, which was a great warm up! and from memory, it was once again a lovely day for a run though the woods.
Last month I ran (almost) a 15Km race at Hagley Hall, I both hated and enjoyed it, so I decided to run it again.
Pre-race, I did a couple of rounds of Wim Hof Breathing while I waited for the race to start.
THE COURSE
The Course is pretty tough, with a 75 meter climb in the first 1.1km, followed by a series of fast, steep down hills through the grounds of Hagley Hall.
THE RACE
Race plan, well, the plan was to just push push push as hard as possible and throw myself down the hills as fast as my legs and gravity will take me.
CONCLUSION
I won! my first win! amazing
